The program
What is Katz Mintz?
A 12-week quit program: FDA-approved nicotine lozenges (we call them mints) shipped in three boxes that get smaller as you go, a text coach, and a finish line.
How do I pick 2 mg or 4 mg?
The FDA label rule: if you use nicotine within 30 minutes of waking, start with 4 mg. If it is later than that, start with 2 mg. You stay on the same strength for all 12 weeks and use fewer mints each phase. Our quiz walks you through it.
Can I use it to quit vaping or pouches?
Nicotine lozenges are FDA-approved to help adults quit smoking. If you vape or use pouches, talk with your doctor or pharmacist about using them to quit.
What if I am not done in 12 weeks?
The label says to talk to your doctor if you need to use lozenges longer than 12 weeks. Your coach will help you prepare for that conversation.
Safety
Are nicotine lozenges safe?
They are FDA-approved, over-the-counter medicine when used as directed. Always read the Drug Facts label before you start.
Who should talk to a doctor first?
Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, or with heart disease, a recent heart attack, an irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure not controlled by medicine, a stomach ulcer, diabetes, or a sodium-restricted diet, or anyone taking prescription medicine for depression or asthma. See the full list in our quit guide.
Is it for people under 18?
No. Katz Mintz is for adults 18 and older, and we verify age on every order.
Billing
Will anything renew?
No. You pay one price for the whole 12-week program. Nothing renews.
What does it cost?
$229 for the full 12-week program, with free shipping. HSA and FSA cards work, and many people can use insurance instead.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel any box that has not shipped, in one tap.
Coverage
Will my insurance pay?
Under the Affordable Care Act, many health plans cover FDA-approved quit medication with no copay when it is prescribed. Use our coverage check and we will email you what your plan covers.
Can I use HSA or FSA?
Yes. Nicotine replacement products are an eligible HSA and FSA expense.
